The Fortifications Agency is seeking an investigator for the external controls group, representing the authority in security protection with a focus on suppliers' compliance with security protection requirements. The Fortifications Agency owns, develops, and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. With our unique expertise in defense properties, we create secure environments for a robust total defense.

Your Daily Work – Strengthening Security in Total Defense

The external controls group is part of the security department under the unit for control and security clearance. The security department is responsible for security protection at the Fortifications Agency, which includes security protection analysis, physical security, information security, personnel security, incident management, signal protection, and security protection agreements. Currently, about 60 employees work in the security department. The external controls group leads and coordinates the authority's control activities of security protection with suppliers with whom the authority has signed security protection agreements. There is close cooperation with other groups within the unit.

As an investigator, you will plan and conduct investigations, controls, and follow-ups of the authority's contracted suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable security protection requirements. This involves identifying deficiencies, proposing corrective actions, and following up on measures for improved security protection. The role also includes providing support to suppliers on security protection issues. Contact with suppliers, partners, and other authorities is a significant part of the work. The external controls group is experiencing significant growth, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of processes, working methods, and routines. Travel within Sweden occurs regularly.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an interest in security and relevant post-secondary education in, for example, behavioral science, law, social sciences, or equivalent that the employer finds comparable. You have experience in investigative work or experience in conducting supplier controls. You are accustomed to working in a structured manner under your own responsibility, conducting analytical work, and collaborating with both internal and external actors. You have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. A Class B driver's license is required.

It is advantageous if you have education and/or experience in work related to security protection agreements, information security, physical security, or personnel security. Experience in control activities within the security protection area and knowledge of the Armed Forces' or Security Police's regulations on security protection is also advantageous. Work in the public sector is also meritorious.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
