Decision Maker for Detention Center in Flen
At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are around 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
With us, you will work on current societal issues that are affected by what happens in our surroundings. Issues that concern and engage. We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvement and meeting people are in focus.
In a detention unit, individuals who have received a rejection or deportation decision and need to be available for enforcement are placed. A person can also be detained if their right to stay in the country or their identity needs to be investigated. The detention center is a closed unit, and operations are conducted around the clock. The work is based on applicable legislation where legal security, dignity, and safety are important.
What does a Decision Maker do?
As a decision maker, you support and develop your colleagues in legal application, subject matters, and investigative methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and propose improvements. On behalf of the unit, you gather and maintain knowledge and monitor standards, guidelines, and practices.
You process, investigate, and decide on cases based on laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal effects for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, rights, and obligations. You handle appeals and follow up on cases in connection with presentations to ensure high legal quality. Your tasks include making confidentiality assessments before information is disclosed and administering files and documents in cases. You also work to guide and provide service to individuals with cases at the Migration Agency and to other stakeholders with various inquiries.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You are clear and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and resolve any conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you are meticulous and place great importance on meeting goals and quality standards. You take responsibility for your tasks and independently structure your work.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high awareness of security and confidentiality.
