About Us

The Pharmaceutical Unit is the region's hub for medication issues. We drive and develop work on evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-safe medication use throughout Region Blekinge. Our mission spans clinical pharmacy/departmental pharmacy, knowledge support, educational initiatives, follow-up, governing documents, procurement, hospital pharmacy, and medication manufacturing. Today, we are a total of 23 employees – including two clinical pharmacists – who together work to strengthen the pharmaceutical field in the region.

About the Job

As a clinical pharmacist with us, you will play a central role in the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy in Region Blekinge. There is an opportunity to influence content and working methods together with colleagues and healthcare operations. Clinical work in both inpatient and primary care may be relevant.

Depending on your previous experiences and the region's needs, you may also work on other assignments within pharmaceutical support, such as information and educational tasks, participation in knowledge management organizations, and therapy group work, as well as contribute to good medication use throughout the region. You will collaborate with pharmacists and other professionals within the Pharmaceutical Unit and other parts of the healthcare system in Region Blekinge.

About You

We are looking for someone with a pharmacy degree or a master's degree in pharmacy and a pharmaceutical license. A master's degree in clinical pharmacy – or documented experience in medication reviews – is an advantage. Even if you have started master's studies or have studied advanced pharmacotherapy and clinical-oriented pharmacy and wish to complete the education, you are warmly welcome to apply. If there is no documented experience equivalent to a master's degree in clinical pharmacy, it is important for our operations that the education is completed within four years from the start of employment.

For the position, good language skills (both written and spoken) in Swedish and English, as well as good computer skills, are required. It is an advantage if you have experience working within Swedish healthcare. We see that you have the ability to collaborate in teams with various professional groups while also being able to work independently. Being quality-conscious, taking responsibility, and making decisions with good judgment are important qualities for the position. You have a knack for driving work forward and are goal- and result-oriented. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information

The position is located in Karlskrona, but work at other locations in Blekinge may occur, which is why a B driver's license is an advantage.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a crisis preparedness role. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
