Do you have experience in EU matters and knowledge of EU institutions and working methods? The Secretariat for EU and International Affairs is now seeking an EU Coordinator who wants to work with EU issues within the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise's areas at the center of events.

The tasks involve responsibility for coordinating EU matters within the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise. You will be part of a group of four EU coordinators who work closely together. This role will focus either on the climate and environmental area or the energy area.

The work includes, among other things:

  • preparing and coordinating materials for various EU meetings such as the Environment Council, Energy Council, and Coreper.
  • participating in the development of EU issues within the ministry.
  • managing cross-departmental requests in the EU area.
  • planning and conducting political leadership's Europe-related trips and meetings.
  • supporting the ministry's officials and political leadership in handling EU matters.
  • collaborating closely with other EU coordinators in the unit, with the ministry's advisor and assistant in Brussels, as well as other internal and external contacts, particularly the parliament.

Your background

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree. You have current and relevant experience working with EU matters and knowledge of EU institutions and working methods. Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.

Desirable for the position is relevant experience from EU institutions and experience from the EU representation in Brussels or another authority or organization with an EU focus. Knowledge of EU issues handled by the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise, such as EU policies on environment, climate, or energy, is desirable. Knowledge of parliamentary work related to EU issues is also meritorious, as well as relevant experience from the Government Offices.
