About us

Ward 366 is a specialist psychiatric inpatient ward with a mission to care for individuals in bipolar disorder episodes. Here, we also care for patients with other affective disorders, such as depression and anxiety syndromes. The ward has 15 beds.

Care is planned and organized based on a team structure where the patient’s individual care needs are the focus. In addition to acute and relapse-preventive medical treatment, care and nursing interventions are adapted according to the type of issues and where in the recovery process the patient is. The ward has a close collaboration with the bipolar outpatient clinic, which is the largest specialist clinic for bipolar disorder in the country.

We value safety for both patients and staff and adapt the introduction to your needs. As a new caregiver, you will have experienced colleagues by your side – during the introduction and as long as you need support. We know that good collaboration is key to both good care and a well-functioning staff group. Therefore, we actively work to maintain a supportive learning culture where we take care of and learn from each other every day. Working hours are based on a five-week schedule, and as a caregiver, you will work two weekends out of five. Many colleagues have worked long at the unit, but now one caregiver is approaching retirement, and we are therefore looking for a new colleague.

Job responsibilities

As a caregiver, you work based on a team structure, where you, together with nurses, social workers, and doctors, identify and meet the patients' needs for care, nursing, and support. In your daily work, you are responsible for the care of inpatient patients. You have a deepened responsibility for the patients you have been assigned as a contact person. Together with the responsible nurse, you plan how care and support for these patients should look through the different phases of the illness. You hold caring conversations and work to create good relationships with the patient's relatives. You follow up on care plans and document in the patient journal.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a trained caregiver or nursing assistant, preferably with previous work experience from psychiatry or caring professions. You have a genuine interest in helping and supporting people in vulnerable situations and want to contribute to good relationships with patients, relatives, colleagues, and care neighbors. As a person, you are calm, patient, and secure in yourself. You value teamwork and a person-centered approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
