Care Assistant for New Dementia Unit in Partille

In February, our new dementia unit, Forellen 3B, will start with a team of 6 staff members.

You will be part of a work team that collaborates with Forellen 3A, a unit focused on geriatric psychiatry. Forellen 3B is centrally located at Gamla Kronvägen 82, and in the same building, you will also find Forellen 3A, our Short-Term Activity, Partille Rehab, Home Care Center, the nursing unit, and more.

In Partille municipality, unit managers, care supervisors, and many skilled nursing assistants and care assistants work together towards common goals. With us, you will be scheduled to work three out of six weekends during a scheduling period. If you wish to work more than three weekends, you will receive an additional 1000 SEK gross for each extra shift worked. One shift counts as one occasion, and you can work a maximum of four extra occasions, as long as you are permanently employed.

Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekends. Common working hours are 07:00-15:30, 07:00-16:30, 13:00-22:00, and 15:00-22:30. We apply a 37-hour workweek for our staff working day and evening shifts.

Job Responsibilities

The Care and Support Administration consists of four departments: Assistance and Health, Functional Support, Elderly Care, and Support and Development. The Care and Support Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and services to elderly individuals and those in need of functional support. We also perform certain health and medical care. The vision includes that our interventions should be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

We have about 850 employees working throughout the municipality, consisting of a mix of support assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, support educators, assistance officers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care supervisors, and more.

We are expanding elderly care in Partille municipality and will be launching a new unit focused on dementia.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with care assistant training. If you have experience working in elderly care or home care, we consider it an asset. Experience with quality registers such as BPSD and Senior Alert is also advantageous. Social documentation is an important part of the job, which means you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
