About Our Open Position

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in working with people with psychiatric issues.

With us, you will have the opportunity to meet patients of all ages and conditions, making the work both challenging, stimulating, and varied. As a nurse with us, you will work with triage and assessments of care needs for people seeking emergency care, telephone counseling, and support for healthcare neighbors, partners, and citizens. You will participate in the unit's development work and be offered professional development based on the goals set for the organization. We are committed to providing you with a good introduction, tailored to your experience.

The position includes working days and evenings, as well as every 4 out of 10 weekends according to an EU-compliant schedule with 11-hour rest periods.

About Us at the Psychiatric Emergency Department

The psychiatric emergency department serves adults in need of acute psychiatric care within the Södra Älvsborg catchment area. The emergency department has a mobile psychiatric team, which means consultation with healthcare neighbors and patients, as well as emergency home visits for assessments. We also coordinate with other actors to ensure the right patient is in the right place. The emergency department has close collaboration with ambulances and police. The team includes nurses/specialist nurses in psychiatry, mental health workers, specialist doctors, and secretaries.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse with at least four months of experience in the profession. Experience in psychiatric care is preferred, and it is also advantageous if you are a specialist trained in psychiatry. We value qualities such as good collaboration skills, flexibility, strong social competence, and curiosity. Personal suitability is of great importance in the selection process.
