Licensed Biomedical Analyst with Specialization in Cytology

About the Position

Cervical cytology is centralized in Huddinge, which provides a broad assignment. In addition to daily screening operations, cytodiagnosticians also work with FISH analyses and immunoassessments. The operation is also in a development phase with the digitization of cytology samples, providing an opportunity to contribute to future digital workflows.

The work involves the diagnostics of cervical cytology and other cytological samples in an advanced and technical environment with high quality demands. You will be responsible for morphological diagnostics of gynecological and other exfoliative samples. Daily tasks include assessment and reporting of benign cervical cytology, lung cytology, urine cytology, bladder wash fluids, exudates, and other fluid samples.

You will belong to a team of about 30 people. With us, you will have excellent opportunities to broaden and deepen your diagnostic competence as we constantly strive to improve our diagnostic methods through regular diagnostic meetings with experienced cytodiagnosticians and pathologists.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed biomedical analyst with further training in cytology
• Good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious:

• Previous experience as a cytodiagnostician.
