Student health is a central function in all schools, and there is a very good central support function for the various professions within student health. Relying on research is a given for us.

Tureberg School is centrally located near Sollentuna center. Currently, about 230 students are enrolled in grades F-9 and in the RN unit. By HT26, an additional approximately 40 students from the municipality's special education groups currently at Silderdal School will join. The school has a staff characterized by great commitment and competence. Tureberg School is a multicultural school with good academic results. There is a very positive atmosphere and a strong culture of sharing at the school.

Mission

The school nurse's mission is to collaborate with school management and other student health personnel, using their medical expertise to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. The role of the school nurse involves working health-promoting and preventive in accordance with the municipality's basic program and based on the governing documents in the health and medical care act, the school law, and guidance for student health. Health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, open reception, and joint reception with the school doctor are included in your mission.

You will be part of the school's student health team and contribute your expertise in medicine and care. The work involves collaboration with students, guardians, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

Qualifications

Competence requirements: Licensed nurse with specialist nursing education in health and medical care for children and adolescents, open health and medical care, or specialist education within the school nurse program.

If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work with children and youth, we see this as very positive. In your role, it is important that you have a good approach, can build trust with students and guardians, have a good ability to plan and prioritize while being flexible in situations that require it. Furthermore, we want you to have good collaboration skills and be responsible. Experience with the digital journal system Prorenata is an advantage.

Organization

In Sollentuna municipality, school nurses are employed at the school with the principal as the immediate supervisor. It is also the principal who leads the student health work at the school. For the medical intervention, there is a head of operations responsible for advice, support, and guidelines regarding the medical work.
