As a school nurse in Södertälje municipality, Ronnaskolan, you will work with preventive student health efforts through health conversations and health examinations according to the municipality's basic program for the medical services of student health.
The assignment also includes vaccinating according to the general vaccination program for children, offering students basic healthcare services, and participating in school doctor appointments.
The extent of the assignment is between 60-80%, and the area of responsibility is divided among our school nurse team, which consists of two school nurses. There is a possibility to increase the employment rate in collaboration with another primary school in the municipality.

Your tasks

As a school nurse (one of two), you will be part of the school's student health team, and together we will design structure and close student health work. The interdisciplinary teamwork of student health requires good collaboration skills, a holistic view, flexibility, and a strong belief in people's ability to develop and take responsibility. You will also collaborate around students' needs with parents, teaching staff, school doctors, counselors, and principals. Sometimes teachers need support in medical issues, and sometimes you will receive assignments through the student health team, and you will have some health education in class. From the student's perspective, you are an important person who cares about the students' opportunities to succeed in school.
All school nurses in the municipality are part of a professional network, EMI, with regular meetings for quality development and support in the work, led by the head of operations for EMI. Supervision is offered for those who wish. We have an introductory training that spans 1 year, and onboarding is done with the help of a centrally employed school nurse.

Requirements:
- Licensed nurse with further education in open healthcare, healthcare for children and youth, or the school nurse program
- Good computer skills - as all documentation is done in the data journal system ProRenata
- You are interested in working with preventive health work and further developing a modern school nurse role by trying new working methods and approaches
- You have a good ability to communicate and express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Meritorious:
- You are passionate about the well-being of children and youth and have experience in conversation support and good conversational skills
- You see the benefits of collegial collaboration within and across the boundaries of the assignment
- You have experience working as a school nurse or have other experience in health-promoting work with children and youth
