Aleris Basal Home Healthcare is looking for an Assistant Unit Manager for our office in Inner City.
You will play a key role in driving and developing a service that makes a difference – every evening/weekend for our patients.
About us
At Basal Home Healthcare, we typically work on behalf of healthcare centers – evenings, nights, and weekends. Our teams are based in five geographical locations in Stockholm County. Aleris Basal Home Healthcare is part of Aleris Primary Care, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care departments, Rehab Station, and Uppsala Urgent Care.
The Role
As an Assistant Unit Manager, you will have overall responsibility to lead, plan, and develop the operations together with Unit Manager Catharina Modin Nygren. Your mission is to create good conditions for safe and secure home care, in close collaboration with an engaged and competent team.
You will share leadership of the operations with the Unit Manager and have overall responsibility for a team consisting of nursing assistants and nurses. The role also involves reporting to the Unit Manager and focusing on quality work and customer follow-up with healthcare centers and other healthcare providers.
Our office is located inside Sabbatsberg Hospital.
Your overall responsibilities include;
- Personnel, results, and work environment responsibility
- Lead and develop operations based on agreements, budgets, and operational plans
- Ensure good quality, continuity, and patient safety
- Actively contribute to operational development, strategic planning, and improvement work
To succeed in this role, you will work closely with clinical nurses, patient safety nurses, coordinators, staffing administrators, and recruiters to create the right conditions for our clinical staff in their work with our patients.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has relevant higher education as a nurse/district nurse or other healthcare background
- Has previous experience in leadership, preferably within home healthcare or similar roles
- Is confident in your leadership, communicative, and has the ability to create engagement and participation
- Has a good understanding of the mission of home healthcare and wants to contribute to patient-centered care
- Is proactive, attentive, and confident in making decisions and leading change
- Has a genuine interest in people and operational development
- Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Has good computer and system skills
You are a person who communicates easily and has the ability to create an open and trusting work environment where employees feel seen and heard. You are confident in your managerial role and driven to motivate your team and create a work environment where employees feel valuable and appreciated. Furthermore, you are organized and have a good ability to plan and structure work in a way that ensures effective and patient-safe healthcare. Employment Conditions
Employment type: Permanent position, starting with a 6-month probationary period
Extent: Full-time
