Occupational Therapist to Habilitation Center Järva Adults
We are looking for a driven and flexible occupational therapist!
About us:
The Habilitation Center Järva Adults is one of our outpatient clinics for adults aged 18 and over with congenital or early-acquired disabilities.
The unit is located in Rinkeby.
The unit serves individuals living in the Järva district as well as Sundbyberg, and here we have 8 staff members. The unit shares management with the Habilitation Center Brommaplan Adults, where 16 people work.
The habilitation specializes in providing care to individuals with disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, and autism. Through support, strategies, and treatment, we create conditions for the patient to function optimally in their daily life.
About the position:
The habilitation offers interventions both individually and in groups. If necessary, in the patient's immediate environment or at another suitable location. The work is done individually but also together with team colleagues, relatives, or networks. In total, we have 8 employees who share premises with the children's habilitation.
Your tasks will include mapping and assessing patients' abilities and needs, planning treatment measures, implementing these, and issuing certificates as needed. Together with patients and relatives, you will develop strategies and, if necessary, trial, prescribe, and follow up on individually tailored aids. Our patients often have complex needs that require collaboration with healthcare neighbors, networks, municipal services, and other authorities.
We offer you:
- An individual introduction to your work with good development opportunities.
- A great community and collegial learning in interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Professional development through our internal staff training.
- Free healthcare.
- Wellness allowance and wellness hour.
- Flexible working hours.
About you:
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who is structured yet flexible enough to handle and enjoy the varied and complex work content present in our operations, preferably with experience in the disabilities included in Habilitation & Health's mission.
You are an initiative-taking person, interested in development, and engaged in finding solutions based on the patient's focus. You enjoy working independently as well as in a team and take personal responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured manner. Since the unit shares management with the Habilitation Center Brommaplan Adults, we also see that you are flexible in your working methods as the units support each other regarding patients and interventions.
You have good computer skills and experience working with digital meeting tools as some meetings are held remotely. With us, you need to have the ability to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work closely with other professional categories in your unit.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Employment form:
Permanent position at 100% employment rate. Start date according to agreement.
About the organization:
The Habilitation Center Järva Adults is part of Habilitation & Health, which in turn is part of the Stockholm County Council (SLSO) within Region Stockholm. Our work is based on the value of equal worth for all people and patient focus. We start from each individual's unique needs and conditions and have specialist knowledge of how visual impairment and blindness can affect daily life, health, and development. We collaborate with networks such as families, staff, and other healthcare providers to create greater participation in community life.
The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Council:
- Background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.

We offer healthcare within the framework of Region Stockholm in psychiatry, primary care, geriatrics, ASIH, urgent care, somatic specialist care, habilitation and health, and aids.
