As an occupational therapist with us, you will be part of a small group of occupational therapists, some of whom work in outpatient care and several in inpatient care. We work closely together and assist each other between departments as part of our daily work. Your base placement will be within medical inpatient care. You will spend the majority of your base placement on a medical ward focusing on patients who have suffered strokes and other neurological diseases. A smaller portion of the job includes work on a care ward focusing on cardiovascular diseases.

You will be responsible for and carry out, based on planning, the occupational therapy interventions in your departments. Your tasks include assessing your patients' activity ability and living situation, performing ADL assessments and ADL training, evaluating the need for and testing assistive devices, conducting cognitive assessments and assessments of physical function, such as hand status, and, if necessary, making home visits. Your tasks also include collaboration with the patient and their relatives/significant others, the department's professionals, our discharge team, and other parts of the rehabilitation chain.

We regularly supervise students, and this is included in the tasks of an occupational therapist with us.

You are professional and empathetic in your interactions and actions. You are a skilled problem solver and good at prioritizing your work, as meetings with patients, tasks, and workdays vary from day to day and can differ between departments.
