Specialist Physician for BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest 2
Are you a specialist physician looking to help build a unit that develops and improves care for children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric disabilities? BUP Neuropsychiatry is now seeking two specialist physicians for the BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest 2 unit, which will start in Älvsjö.
BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest 2 will gradually start its operations in 2026/2027. We are now looking for engaged colleagues who, together with us at BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest, want to help build the clinic from the ground up.
Placement during the startup phase may be in Älvsjö or another geographically nearby clinic within BUP Stockholm. In 2027, BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest 2 will move to newly renovated premises in Solberga (Älvsjö).
The clinic's mission is to conduct neuropsychiatric assessments for children and young people aged 0–17 years and to be responsible for pharmacological treatment for diagnosed ADHD. At the neuropsychiatric clinics within BUP Stockholm, psychologists, medical secretaries, physicians, nurses, deputy unit managers, and unit managers work. These functions will be recruited for BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest 2.
We strive for high quality in our work and want to contribute to increased accessibility for our target group. At the same time, it is important for us to create a well-functioning workplace where we thrive, collaborate, and develop the business together.
BUP Neuropsychiatry consists of BUP A Way In and six neuropsychiatric clinics located in Älvsjö, Sickla, Solna, Bromma, and Danderyd.
Job Description
As a specialist physician, your main tasks will be to conduct neuropsychiatric assessments of children and young people together with a psychologist according to national guidelines and BUP Stockholm's process maps. After the assessment, you will be responsible for medical treatment for ADHD. You will meet patients for initiation, follow-up, and evaluation of medication treatment in collaboration with a nurse.
You will provide support to colleagues during treatment conferences and assessment of cases based on your profession as a physician.
Since BUP Neuropsychiatry Southwest 2 is being built from the ground up, you and your colleagues will have a unique opportunity to shape working methods, structure, and culture together.
You are an important part of the team and have the opportunity to contribute to continuous development by participating in the ongoing development work of the organization. Currently, about 20 other specialist physicians in child and adolescent psychiatry work within the section.
There is the possibility of remote work with digital patient care as the operations allow.
Qualifications
You should be a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry or a specialist in adult psychiatry. Experience working with children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric issues is an advantage, as is familiarity with modern, evidence-based methods. Experience from child psychiatric outpatient care or pediatric clinics is also an advantage.
Personal Qualities
You have excellent collaboration skills, good judgment, and a humble approach to your profession. Through your professional and respectful working style, you actively contribute to a positive work environment characterized by engagement, quality, and high professionalism.
For you, it is natural to develop, improve, and maintain a high-quality operation together with colleagues. An interest in digitalization and the development of care processes is an advantage.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
