Nurse for the Medical Reception at Stockholm Psychosocial Care

Stockholm County's Healthcare Area (SLSO) is in the startup phase of a new joint organization, Psychosocial Care Stockholm, where all outpatient clinics and inpatient wards for patients with psychotic disorders are gathered in a cohesive operation.

We are now looking for a nurse for the Medical Reception who wants to help develop the future of psychosocial care with us.

About the Psychosocial Clinic Gubbängen:

We are a dedicated and competent staff group with a common focus: to offer accessible, person-centered, and evidence-based care for individuals with psychotic disorders.

The clinic is responsible for patients living in Farsta, Skarpnäck, and Vantör. Here, specialist doctors, nurses, case managers, mobile teams, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work together. We are a total of about 27 employees.

We value good communication, high quality, and close collaboration between professions. There is a high ceiling, we support each other, and we take joint responsibility for our work environment and development.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the medical reception, you have a central role in the clinic's work. Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Medication management and administration of oral medications and injections
  • Preparation and control of medications, including narcotic controls
  • Health conversations and follow-ups before annual checks
  • Collaboration with case managers and the mobile team
  • Home visits and clinic visits
  • Documentation in TakeCare
  • Collaboration with care neighbors and relatives

The work is characterized by continuity, flexibility, and close patient contact, both at the clinic and in the patient's home environment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse
  • Driving license (B) and driving experience

Meritorious:

  • Experience in psychiatric care
  • Specialist training in psychiatry

In patient-related work within Stockholm County's Healthcare Area:

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
