Licensed Physiotherapist Needed

Do you want to work in a team with a strong sense of community and alongside skilled colleagues? We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist to join our clinic.

Åkersberga Rehab is a well-established clinic in Northeastern Stockholm, and together with Åkersberga Midwifery Clinic, we form the Österåker Healthcare Unit, which belongs to the Stockholm County Healthcare Area. Our mission is to conduct primary care rehabilitation in the Österåker municipality.

The workgroup consists of occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and administrative staff. In total, there are 25 employees. Our goal is for all employees to feel involved, proud, and responsible for the operations.

We work with a patient focus, joy in work, and the belief that all people are equally valuable. Our efforts are based on available evidence, existing guidelines, and development. You can read more about us at Åkersberga rehab (https://www.regionstockholm.se/akersberga-rehab).

We Offer

A secure employment with collective agreements, insurance, and individual salary setting. Fantastic colleagues, introduction, and a mentor during the first year. Regular internal training and continued professional development.

We value a good balance between work and personal life and therefore provide great opportunities to influence working hours and plan daily tasks. We apply flexible working hours, have wellness benefits, train together, and offer free healthcare. You can read more about this at Benefits at Stockholm County Healthcare Area (https://www.regionstockholm.se/formaner).

Job Responsibilities:

As a specialist in physiotherapy, you will meet patients with neurological diagnoses. Your job includes examining, assessing, diagnosing, treating, following up, and evaluating your interventions.

The clinic conducts both outpatient and home rehabilitation activities; we have a rehab gym and a pool. Job responsibilities include leading groups/schools, mentoring students, and conducting some visits digitally. Collaboration with other healthcare providers and relatives is often necessary. Documentation is done in the Take Care journal system, and all employees have access to a laptop so that documentation can be done continuously.

We strive for our employees to feel involved, proud, and responsible for the operations we conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed physiotherapist with specialist competence in neurology.
  • Extensive and broad experience in the neurological field, both in inpatient and primary care as well as in home rehabilitation/neuro teams.
  • Significant experience in assessing, prescribing, and trialing aids for this patient group.
  • Established network and collaboration with other relevant actors in the region.
  • Driver's license B is a requirement.

Employment Type:

Permanent employment according to agreement. A probationary period may apply. Start date according to agreement.

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is responsible and has the ability to work patient-oriented. You should have a good ability to work independently, collaborate, prioritize, and structure your work, as well as a desire to develop profession-specific knowledge and the operations.

Additional Information:

Since we sometimes work in patients' homes, you need to be able to be in environments with pets and not be sensitive to tobacco smoke.

We will continuously review applications and may call for interviews before the application deadline.

Warm welcome with your application! The position will be filled provided that it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
