The position is daytime on weekdays and is located at Högdalen Care and Nursing Home.

Welcome to us

Högdalen Care and Nursing Home is a municipal nursing home in one of Stockholm's academic nodes. An academic node is a unit that helps drive the development of elderly care in the city of Stockholm.

Here there are a total of 140 apartments, divided into 68 somatic and 50 dementia places, as well as 18 short-term places and 4 respite care places. We work from a person-centered approach where the focus is on health, well-being, and quality of life.

As a nurse with us in special housing for the elderly, you are an important part of our work to actively ensure that the residents feel safe, seen, involved, appreciated, and important. We base our work on a salutogenic approach focusing on creating a sense of coherence for both residents and staff.

Your role as a resource nurse

As a resource nurse with us at Högdalen Care and Nursing Home, you have a flexible and significant role in the operation. You work where the need is greatest and serve as a support and reinforcement in the nursing team. This means that you contribute your expertise in daily work, create continuity, and relieve where needed.

In the role, you are responsible for medical assessments and prescriptions at the nurse level and plan and implement interventions based on individual needs. You have ongoing contact with doctors, relatives, and other partners to ensure safe and cohesive care.

You work closely with nursing assistants, caregivers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, where you together develop and quality assure the care for our residents. Through a person-centered and salutogenic approach, you contribute to creating safety, participation, and quality of life in everyday life.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed nurse
• Have several years of experience as a nurse in elderly care
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience from short-term departments
• Knowledge of the documentation system Vodok
• Experience working within the City of Stockholm and in a politically governed organization
• Experience working with quality registers in elderly care

You have a good ability to build, develop, and maintain good collaborations through an open, accommodating, and solution-oriented approach.
