Summer Job for Nursing Assistants and Nursing Students

Are you a nursing assistant, nurse, or nursing student after your fourth semester looking for a varied and fun job for the summer?

With us, you will work in home healthcare and meet our patients in their own home environment.

Clinic work may also occur. It is a fun and varied assignment that can give you new experience in healthcare.

The work is independent, but we work in teams and you will always have the opportunity to receive support from experienced district nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and our doctors.

Your tasks will include, among other things, sampling, wound dressings, and administering medication according to delegation.

About us

Conveniently located from central Stockholm, Bergshamra Ulriksdal Health Center is easily accessible by the subway's red line or by bus, car, and bike. Bergshamra is a cozy area close to water and nature, and in the square of Bergshamra center, there are restaurants, grocery stores, a library, a gym, and a bakery. We have a good atmosphere at the health center and value teamwork.

The health center has district nurse and registered nurse clinics, home healthcare, diabetes clinics, and a local laboratory. The doctor's office is available for scheduled and unscheduled visits every day. Our psychologists offer both individual and group therapy.

We have about 7,500 registered patients and approximately 20 employees.

Employment Type

Summer temporary position, full-time. We start at 7:30 and finish around 15:00-15:30. One day a week involves work until 16:30. Hourly employment. Start date according to agreement.

Qualifications

Requirements: Trained nursing assistant or at least 4 completed semesters in the nursing program for those who are nursing students.

Driver's license and driving experience.

Swedish language skills equivalent to C1 are a requirement within Stockholm County Council.

Meritorious: Experience in primary care and/or basic home healthcare.

Personal Qualities

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is positive and enjoys working in a team but can also work independently.

  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
