Summer Temp Positions at Karolinska University Hospital

For the summer of 2026, we need support in our work to provide patients with the best care.

We are therefore looking for summer temps for several of our operations in Solna and Huddinge.

About the Position

As a nursing assistant/care assistant with us, you will have a caring role where you mostly perform patient-facing work in a highly specialized care environment. This means that you plan and carry out daily care for the patient together with the rest of the care team. The work varies depending on the operation and department.

You will work with:

• basic care
• dressing changes
• sampling after delegation
• handling various drains after delegation
• monitoring vital parameters

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title, and nursing students and medical students will be employed under the title of care assistant.

Qualifications

Eligible to work as a nursing assistant, which means that by the summer of 2026 you meet one of the following requirements:

• Trained nursing assistant and clinically active as a nursing assistant for 6 months in a hospital, or trained nursing assistant with 1 year as a nursing assistant in another care operation in the last 5 years.
• Nursing student who has completed T4.
• Radiology nursing student who has completed T4.
• Medical student who has completed T5.
• Trained military nursing assistant.

Furthermore, good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, level C1, is required.

To be considered for a summer temp position, you need to be able to work at least 6 weeks between June and August, with weeks 28-31 being mandatory. Greater availability increases your chances of employment.
