We are now looking for a new night nurse for ward 7, welcome with your application.

As a nurse at Jakobsbergsgeriatriken, you will:

  • Work in pleasant departments where you use and deepen your nursing skills and thus develop in your role as a nurse.
  • Work together with a nursing assistant and in close collaboration with teams in other units.
  • Your introduction will be individualized with opportunities for training/education in various aspects.
  • Meet patients with a variety of diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations.
  • Handle a variety of medical technical equipment, manage medications with different administration methods, give blood transfusions, and perform various tests.

The full-time measure is 32.20 hours/week, and you will work 74.74%. This means seven nights over three weeks, on a fixed schedule, with a longer time off. Double night-OB according to agreement. A probationary period may be applied.

Job Responsibilities

The primary task is to plan and perform patient care together with the patient and your colleagues. You will work together with a nursing assistant and closely collaborate with the same team in other departments. On-call doctors are available for all departments, as well as a backup on-call doctor at home. For medication administration, we use inpatient dosage, which promotes patient safety and the work environment.

Qualifications

Requirements: Registered nurse.

Meritorious: Desirable with a few years of experience in geriatrics/inpatient care. Specialist training and/or further education in relevant areas for the patient group.

Jakobsbergsgeriatriken has five departments for patients with acute medical conditions of both medical, surgical, or orthopedic causes and/or rehabilitation needs.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare area:

  • Background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • In addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required.
