Description

Ward 23 is a geriatric psychiatric ward with 15 beds. We are a highly specialized ward for individuals over 65 years old with psychiatric issues. We work with assessment, treatment, nursing, collaboration with care neighbors, and rehabilitation, often dealing with somatic comorbidity. The ward is located at S:t Göran's Hospital area.

Responsibilities

As a nurse, you will be part of a care team where you have nursing responsibility for seven to eight patients in close collaboration with nursing assistants, doctors, and paramedical staff.

The operations are characterized by both psychiatric and somatic events where you, as a nurse, have a clear coordination and leadership responsibility. Coordination and collaboration with the patient, relatives, and care neighbors are also central tasks.

Work in psychiatry is continuously evolving, and NSP constantly strives for modern and innovative working methods. Therefore, participation in the wards' quality and development work is a given for our employees.

You will work in a very pleasant ward with many competent colleagues who ensure that you will enjoy your work and quickly integrate into both the job and the community. Naturally, you will receive a good introduction.

We document in the Take Care journal system.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, preferably with further education in psychiatry and/or geriatrics. If you have worked a couple of years in psychiatry and/or geriatrics or similar fields, it is certainly an advantage. Even if you are newly graduated, you are of course welcome to apply.

You have a psychiatric approach with an interest in somatics. You are clear and driven as a person with a natural leadership ability. Being flexible and striving for good collaboration are additional qualities we highly value.

Conditions

Full-time, permanent. Working hours are scheduled according to a rolling 10-week schedule covering days, evenings, and weekends.

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional certification. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
