About the American High School

About the American High School, Uppsala

The school is centrally located in the Luthagen area. The school is now in its fourth academic year and has approximately 260 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the role

As a teacher, you will teach our students English. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will teach in a digital environment with digital teaching materials combined with traditional literature. The role also includes mentorship for a class.

The position is a permanent employment at 100%. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish teaching license, qualified to teach English, and who has experience in teaching. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, sharing our educational vision:
