We are looking for you who are a Nurse, experienced or newly graduated.

In the department for Highly Specialized Brain Injury Rehabilitation, we rehabilitate patients who have suffered from moderate to severe brain injuries. The cause is often stroke or some form of trauma. The average age of our patients is 49 years, and all are of working age. The length of stay is often a bit longer, which contributes to us getting to know our patients and their relatives well. We only have planned admissions of new patients; overflow admissions do not occur. All patients have an individual rehabilitation plan designed with a person-centered approach together with the patient, relatives, and the interprofessional team. The team consists of a nurse, nursing assistant, doctor, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker, speech therapist, and psychologist.

Job Description

As a Nurse, you are responsible for the nursing process, i.e., ensuring that nursing planning, medical supervision, and individual rehabilitation continue throughout the day and night. We work with rehabilitative nursing, which means we want to give the patient the best possible conditions to regain and maintain control and self-determination over both body and life situation.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse or nearly completed examination. You should have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written (minimum passing grade in Swedish C). Experience in stroke care, neurology, and/or neurosurgery is an advantage.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable. It is important that you are independent and have good collaboration skills. Sensitivity and good communication skills are important qualities that we value highly. A good empathetic ability facilitates your care for our patients. In your meetings with our patients, it is important that you are calm, attentive, and accommodating.
