Your New Workplace

Södermalms School is a preschool to grade 3 school that also runs after-school care for grades F-6 at Södermalms School and Höglundaskolan.

At Södermalms School, we actively work with safety, social learning environments, phonemic awareness, and language development to create the best possible foundation for students' continued schooling in middle and high school.

We work in grade teams where all preschool to grade 3 teachers and after-school teachers collaborate around the same grade. Everyone in the grade team has the primary task of creating a good school day as a whole, including after-school care for students who have a place. In the preschool class, we have preschool to grade 3 teachers who follow the students all the way up to grade 3.

How You Contribute in the Role of Teacher:

This school year, we are working with flexible and needs-based groups in grade 2 in Swedish and mathematics. Other lessons are held in three different mentor groups. This working method requires a high degree of collaboration and flexibility among teachers, as it is based on completely joint planning.

As a preschool to grade 3 teacher in grade 2, you will teach all subjects except physical education and art. You are also expected to participate in the school's development work within social learning environments, phonemic awareness, and language development.

Your Competence and Experience:

We are looking for you who are a certified preschool to grade 3 teacher, or a certified teacher for earlier grades.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and curious and enjoys working in a team. You value good relationships highly and contribute to an open and collaborative work climate.
