Ängetskolan is hiring a Teacher in Mathematics and Science

Ängetskolan is a primary school located just outside Örnsköldsvik, close to forests and walking paths.

The school has approximately 460 students and we are responsible for grades four to nine, including a small after-school department.

For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means you will have a mentor during your first year. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications who can guide and support you.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach mathematics and science subjects in grades seven to nine and will have overall responsibility for the student group, handling the documentation and contacts this entails. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree with subject qualifications in mathematics, science subjects, and technology.

We seek someone who enjoys challenges and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the capacity to adapt teaching based on the group's and individuals' needs. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
