Within the Department of Children and Education, our approximately 3,000 employees meet around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Essviks School is located in Kvissleby and is part of the Nivrenaskolan F-9 organization. The school has about 170 students in grades F-5. Essviks School is beautifully situated by the forest edge on the Essvik peninsula, at the mouth of Ljungan in Njurunda, south of Sundsvall.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on the curriculum, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching. At Essviks School, we sometimes work with a co-teaching system when we have larger grades with more than 30 students. The grade can then be divided into two classes. The two teachers share joint responsibility for the students, their teaching, and parent communication.

You will be part of a team where you will plan and evaluate teaching together with others.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license for grades 4-6, and it is an advantage to have qualifications to teach music.

We seek someone who is flexible and self-assured. You have the ability to see and reinforce the positive aspects in students. You have good collaboration skills, are solution-focused, see opportunities instead of obstacles, take initiative, and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Experience working with students who have neuropsychiatric disabilities or challenging behaviors is a plus.
