Music Teacher at Geneskolan

Geneskolan is Örnsköldsvik municipality's largest secondary school with approximately 400 students distributed across 16 classes.

At the school, there are subject colleagues to collaborate with. For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means that during your first year, you will have a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same or closely related subject qualification who can guide and support you.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach music in grades 7-9 and handle the documentation and contacts that this entails. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work.

You will be part of a work team. You will also be a mentor in a class together with a colleague.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree with subject qualification in music. If you also have other subject qualifications, it is an advantage.

You take pride in having deep subject knowledge in your teaching subjects. As a person, you are attentive, responsible, and engaged. You are a secure adult and a clear leader expected to lead and manage in the classroom. Even outside the classroom, you maintain the clear boundaries of adulthood and see it as natural to take that responsibility.

The position is a permanent employment, with a workload of 80-100%. Start date is 2026-02-02 or by agreement.
