Our municipality, and thus our operations, is growing and we need more educators.

We are now looking for teachers for grades 1-7 at Ånge School for the spring term of 2026. In the education administration, we work according to a common thread, a shared view of development and learning with a democratic value base in all our operations. In Ånge municipality, we train all our staff in neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) to ensure our operations are NPF-safe, we train all staff in mental training and in what a language and knowledge-developing approach (SKUA) is and entails.

Ånge School consists of three properties but is one school, Björken (F/Fsk, grades 1-5), Ugglan (grades 6-9), and Ånge Resource School. The principals have a shared ambition to lead and distribute work at the schools based on trust and confidence. The school's motto is, "Health and learning go hand in hand". We have high expectations of ourselves as well as of each employee. Ånge School is organized with teaching teachers, playground teachers, and a student health team. The school's student health team includes counselors, school nurses, special teachers, special educators, career counselors, and principals; we also have access to school psychologists, school doctors, and speech therapists. Each week, the student health team participates in student health meetings (EHM) with the work teams and in student health team meetings (EHT). We collaborate with Social Services, the children and youth entrance, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Habilitation, health centers, police, and more. The school is located in Ånge center, which means we have walking distance to an ice rink, football fields, athletics track, riding hall, disc golf, outdoor gym, multi-sport arena, gym, illuminated trails, forest, green areas, hiking paths, swimming area, library, community center with cinema, theater workshop, music school/cultural school, municipal building, train and bus station, several shops, restaurants, and cafes. We have good collaboration opportunities with business and community organizations. We have good commuting options by train from both Östersund and Sundsvall, with walking distance to the school. Job Responsibilities

You will collaborate with other teachers and be part of a work team. Mentorship is included in the position. You will carry out a pedagogical planning, implement and evaluate your teaching according to Lgr 22. You have the pedagogical responsibility for the teaching. We work collegially to develop the operations to be pedagogically, physically, and socially accessible. Our goal is to be an NPF-safe school. You see it as a given to collaborate with your colleagues, guardians, and external actors. You share your knowledge and experiences.

You have a low-arousal approach and a good ability to create positive relationships with students, guardians, as well as colleagues and management. You have good problem-solving skills, teamwork skills, and social competence; you are flexible and loyal. Based on trust-based governance and leadership, we expect you to take responsibility within given frameworks. You strive for predictability, clarity, security, and participation. You are convinced that the quality of teaching makes a difference and that teaching therefore needs to be differentiated so that all students can achieve as far as possible in their learning.
