Welcome to the Emergency Department in Karlshamn!

The Emergency Department is a receiving department that accepts medical patients via ambulance or assessment vehicle.

We also receive patients referred from health centers or other departments in the hospital. We accept patients around the clock with breathing difficulties, dizziness, chest pain, various infections, blood clots in the leg, strokes, and more. We are a positive and close-knit team with a wide range of experiences and competencies. We are now looking for you who want to become part of us. You will have the opportunity to develop at your own pace as we have a person-centered approach regarding our staff, focusing on the individual. About the Job

As a nurse, you will assess, care for, and treat medical patients during their stay in the Emergency Department. As a nurse in the Emergency Department, you will have varied and stimulating tasks that allow you to grow into your professional role. You will be part of a team with doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. You will work according to routines and applicable governing documents. As a nurse in the Emergency Department, you are also expected to work towards developing and improving working methods and be involved in driving processes. You contribute with suggestions for solutions, a positive attitude, and a good approach to create a good working environment.

We apply individual activity-based scheduling with rotation shifts.

Applicants who are considered for employment must present a certificate from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a crisis management role. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About You

We are looking for licensed nurses, preferably with experience in emergency care, which is an advantage. You should have good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and be flexible and responsible in your tasks. You should thrive in changing tempos and find it stimulating and varied.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
