Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding!

We are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The section coordinates and provides support at national, regional, and local levels in matters concerning employment areas: work operations, practical work training, ASV (other structured activities), and services primarily in prisons but to some extent also in detention centers. The section has both centrally and regionally placed employees and is part of the unit for treatment, work, and studies in the department for operational content.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an expert in the section for work operations, ASV, and services, you will have a challenging and developing assignment. The tasks are varied and focused on developing employment for clients/inmates in prisons and detention centers together with the section's employees. Your main focus will be to work on issues related to employment at the prison within ASV and services. These employment areas will, with the rapid expansion of Kriminalvården's operations, be an important part of the recidivism prevention and isolation-breaking work.

The work means that you will address issues from a national perspective but also support individual regions and prisons when needed. In some areas, you will have regional responsibility for these issues. You will also develop, implement, and manage various national concepts that can be used within ASV together with your colleagues. The work includes, among other things, requirements specification and management of various central agreements.

There is an ongoing effort to review how the section's work can be developed, which is why the tasks may change to some extent.

The work involves national business trips. There is an option for remote work agreements and flexible working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, starts activities, and achieves results. You work well with others, are outgoing, and socially active in professional contexts. Furthermore, you see the big picture and take into account the broader perspective, as well as having the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You need to be able to switch focus and work in a changing environment where not all facts are available.

It is important for us that you share Kriminalvården's fundamental values of a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in the human will and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to everyone being treated equally with your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
