About the job

As the head of the Supervision Unit, Payments, you will have personnel responsibility for eight employees and be responsible for leading the unit towards set goals. The unit works with varied and exciting tasks related to Sweden's payment market, such as ongoing supervision of payment institutions, e-money institutions, crypto service providers, and clearing houses. The work includes risk assessments, investigations, and in-depth analyses within specific areas. Working for good consumer protection in the payment market and combating fraud are examples of two central issues.

You will also participate in the work of developing the unit's processes and routines to ensure an efficient and well-functioning operation. As a unit manager, you are expected to collaborate closely with your employees, partly also operationally in the business. You report to the department head and participate in the department's management group. You also work closely with other managers, especially within the Payments area.

In your role as a manager, you lead, support, and create good conditions for your employees' results and development, among other things through clear goals and ongoing follow-up. You develop the business strategically and long-term based on FI's overarching goals and promote the whole and collaboration across business boundaries.

Your education and experience

We are looking for someone who

has a higher education degree in law or economics or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent
has several years of experience from work within the financial sector or at an authority operating within the financial sector, which has given you a good knowledge of the Swedish financial system and its actors
has previously worked as a manager or in another supervisory role
has experience from qualified work in supervision, monitoring, risk, or regulatory development/compliance
has very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you

have experience in business development
have knowledge of relevant regulations for the payment and crypto market
have experience from working in fintech and/or with payment issues
have experience in crime prevention work.
