The Central Student Health is a municipal resource that works to promote the health and learning of children and students. It includes medical, psychological, psychosocial, and special educational interventions and is centrally located at the administrative office. The service is aimed at children and students aged 1–16 years.

The goals of the service are:

• to promote learning
• to remove barriers to learning
• to work preventively and health-promoting

The Central Student Health is located in shared premises and consists of school psychologists, special educators, counselors, school doctors, school nurses, and a unit manager.

All professions work towards the municipality's preschools and primary schools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in a key role where you both coordinate the medical student health and are responsible for the system management of PMO? We are looking for someone who wants to combine their commitment to student health with an interest in IT and development.

As a coordinating school nurse, you will work together with the operationally responsible school doctor to quality assure and develop the service. Your role is also to guide and support the school nurses in their professional practice. You will also have a coordinating role towards internal and external partners.

As a system manager of PMO, you will provide support and training to all PMO users in the region. This includes troubleshooting, quality assurance, supplier contact, access administration, updates, configuration, and development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a nurse with further education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or who has specific school nurse training. It is desirable that you have at least five years of experience in the school nursing profession. You need to have good IT skills and an interest, preferably with experience in system management and leading development work.

It is important that you have good collaboration skills and social competence. You must also be positive and solution-oriented. The role requires good initiative and the ability to work independently. You keep yourself updated in your field and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences.

As a permanent employee in Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace and are expected to contribute your work during heightened preparedness.
