The Social Administration is a personnel-intensive administration with about 1,050 employees. We are one of the larger workplaces in the municipality, and most of our operations run around the clock every day of the year. For the area of Care for Persons with Disabilities (OF), we are now seeking care assistants to be placed at Stångehamnsvägen 139, a short-term accommodation for children within LSS.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The short-term accommodation at Stångehamnsvägen 139 is a residence for children and young people with various disabilities aged 0-21 years. The accommodation is located in the Kristineberg area and is about 2.5 kilometers from central Oskarshamn. Currently, we have 11 registered children and young people, and together with colleagues, you will be responsible for providing them with support and guidance. You will form a positive team and contribute with qualitative and stimulating activities that promote a meaningful everyday life for the children/youth. The work team you will belong to consists of 16 people, where the unit manager is your closest contact. Cooperation with other units also occurs.

The tasks of the care assistant are based on general care work with accompanying personal care. This may include tube feeding, transfers, personal hygiene, meal intake, etc. The assignment also includes documentation in a data journal as well as medical tasks.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, on-call, and weekends. The assignment includes some solo work. The current position is a permanent employment at 90%.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a nursing assistant diploma or other education that the employer finds equivalent. It is an advantage if you have post-secondary education in the field of disabilities/psychiatry and/or have previously worked with the target group. You have knowledge of low-arousal responses and TSS (signs as support). A B driver's license is necessary, and you must be clear in your communication in speech and writing in Swedish. Basic computer skills are desirable.
