JOB DESCRIPTION

As an occupational therapist, you work with the whole person and their physical and cognitive abilities. You also work with interventions to strengthen the person's independence and increase activity and participation in daily life. The occupational therapist's area of responsibility includes assessments of patients' activity and functional abilities, training interventions at home, prescribing and testing assistive devices, environmental assessments, and issuing certificates for housing adaptations. You also work health-promoting and preventive to increase the possibility of an active life with good quality of life. You collaborate closely with physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants.

Your work includes informing, instructing, and guiding patients, care staff, and relatives. Occupational therapists and physiotherapists work closely with other professionals such as home care staff, housing staff, nurses, and care managers in their geographical team.

As an occupational therapist, you have many contacts with patients, staff, and relatives, which requires you to have good communication skills, be attentive, and easily create and maintain good relationships.

Person-centered care and participation are important guiding principles for us on the journey towards Close Care. You will be important in our continued work to develop municipal primary care together with colleagues and management.

The position includes responsibility for patients both in special housing and in ordinary housing.

As a member of the rehabilitation unit, you will work daytime, Monday to Friday, and we have flexible working hours. You will be based in a centrally located office in Färjestaden.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and want to work with rehabilitation in the patient's home environment.

We welcome both applicants with extensive experience and those who are newly graduated. As a new employee with us, you will receive a mentor, and the workgroup supports each other.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you are interested in municipal rehabilitation and the people we meet in our work. You are curious, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in working both flexibly with people from different professions and independently. You have a good attitude and the ability to convey knowledge pedagogically based on where the individual is.

A valid driver's license is required.
