Job Advertisement: Anesthesia Nurse

As an anesthesia nurse, you are an integral part of the surgical team around the patient.

We assist all operating clinics, which means a wide variety of surgeries and procedures and different types of anesthesia and analgesia. We work with both emergency and elective services. You will also participate in acute medical interventions outside the operating room, such as ambulance transports, emergency alerts, and trauma alerts.

We have individual scheduling and staff the department around the clock, which means that working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and nights. You will receive an individual introduction tailored to your previous experience.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with specialized training in anesthesia care. In your profession, you focus on the patient and are therefore flexible in thought and action, can make quick decisions, and act safely in acute situations. You are an important part of the team around the patient. You collaborate well with others. We value a good work environment through good treatment, respect, and understanding for each other. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Your Future Workplace

The Central Operating Room is part of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Clinic at Kalmar County Hospital. We are about 100 employees serving specialties such as general surgery, urology, gynecology, obstetrics, ear-nose-throat surgery, dental/oral surgery, ophthalmology, and medical care. We participate in emergency alerts in both pediatric and adult emergency departments, participate in trauma alerts, are part of the CPR team that is called to cardiac arrests in the hospital, and are responsible for interhospital transports of critically ill patients to and from specialist clinics at other hospitals. We perform approximately 8000 anesthetics per year.

Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialized care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Here, over 2300 people work to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
