The Aircraft Maintenance Center is located at Ljungbyhed Park, where aircraft maintenance training has been conducted since 1999. The center offers training in both vocational education (aircraft maintenance technician) and high school (mechanic), according to EASA Part-147. We are a development-oriented organization and strive to be the obvious choice for those who want to train in aircraft maintenance. The operation has over 19 employees and about 110 students and is conducted in four hangars and an office building. You will be part of our team where you will have the opportunity to some extent to direct your own development through professional development. Many of the students live in our own accommodation located in close proximity to our operations. Two of the hangars are newly renovated, and we have installed our latest additions of aircraft, a Gulfstream G-IV and two Piper PA-31 Navajo.

The school has its own gym that can be used by fitness enthusiasts. Proximity to forests and nature in Söderåsen, as well as a golf course and other sports facilities in the area, are additional advantages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to help supply tomorrow's aviation industry with competence and is ready to take the next step in their career as an aircraft maintenance technician! During 2025-26, the Aircraft Maintenance Center needs to recruit two aircraft maintenance instructors (one EASA Cat B1 and one EASA Cat B2 (electrical & avionics technician) and appoint a manager qualified for leadership assignments for our operations.

As an instructor, you will teach theory and practice in aircraft maintenance subjects at the high school and vocational education levels. Teaching takes place in one of our classrooms or hangars. Your role as an instructor includes contributing to the development of the modules you teach. There is an opportunity to specialize in your particular area of expertise or interest, as well as to further develop in another aircraft maintenance area. We would like you to strengthen your pedagogical skills and aim to train as a vocational teacher in the long term. Supportive leadership for our students is a natural part of your role.

If you are a candidate for the role of Training Manager (TM), you will have the opportunity to apply your professional experiences, together with colleagues from the unit and representatives from the aircraft maintenance industry, in our change planning towards tomorrow's requirements. TM is part of the school's management team and our YH management group and leads our "training procedures", on behalf of the Accountable Manager, in accordance with the school's MTOE.

The Training Manager position is a role for a "nominated person", which means that the role carries special responsibilities within the organization. This means that the appointment of the manager in this position must be reviewed against established criteria and approved by the Transport Agency before taking on the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge in the aircraft maintenance field.

  • You have a background as a civilian or military aircraft technician and have several years of documented experience, where you have gathered skills and knowledge that you now want to share.
  • You have or have had an aircraft technician certificate corresponding to category B1, and if your certificate is civilian, it is an advantage.
  • Experience in UAS (drones), sheet metal or composite work, B2 category, or previous experience in an NPH role is also advantageous.

Pedagogy

  • Education in pedagogy is an advantage but not decisive.
