Description

The activities of the Competence Center, such as study and career counseling, labor market, adult education, support and welfare, and integration, work closely together to provide individuals in need of support with the help they need to enter work or education.

Within the municipal labor market assignments, we primarily work on behalf of social services and financial assistance.

As a Study and Career Counselor at the Competence Center Kungälv, you will work in a team with colleagues from other parts of the Competence Center.

This means that we work together around the citizen's individual needs and in collaboration with other actors. We are currently educating students studying at SFI, basic level, upper secondary level, as well as in vocational training and apprenticeship training; we also offer distance education and customized training.

We are looking for someone who is inspired to work in a team with others and who wants to be involved in shaping the work at the Competence Center Kungälv. We view previous experience in labor market issues and labor market initiatives positively.

Responsibilities

The position is a permanent employment as a study and career counselor within the competence center, placed in adult education. In counseling, the adult perspective is central as you meet residents of the municipality in the age group 20-65 years. The position requires that you have good knowledge of various educational programs and career paths, as well as an interest in monitoring issues related to counseling and adult education, as well as the labor market issues that concern these areas.

The position involves working closely with other counselors within adult education as well as administration and school management. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to development with other operational parts within the competence center.

The position includes counseling, admissions administration, and collaborative work with other career counselors both within Kungälv Municipality and within the GR region.

We use O365 (Teams) as our learning platform and Edlevo as our student system. We would like you as an applicant to have experience with these systems.

Qualifications

You who are applying should have a bachelor's degree from the Study and Career Counseling program (180 credits).

Good Swedish in speech and writing.

The work requires that you have a good ability to work independently and in a team, prioritize, plan, and carry out tasks, as well as having good and professional communication skills. You must have the ability to meet people with different needs and conditions.

Meritorious:

• Good digital competence, meaning it is natural to use digital tools, work equipment, and aids, as well as having the willingness and ability to familiarize yourself with new programs and systems.
• Good experience working both with counseling and administrative tasks.
• Experience in Adult Education.
• Experience with Edlevo.
• Experience in validation within various professional fields.
