Part-time Care Assistants Wanted at Furulund Elderly Home!

We at Furulund Elderly Home are now looking for part-time care assistants!

Your duties include care work, and the content of the shifts is based on the needs and wishes of the elderly.

This may involve social interaction with our elderly residents, assisting with meals and personal hygiene. Here, the importance of activities for our elderly is a significant part of daily work, and we actively work to continuously develop this. The elderly home regularly receives visits from therapy dogs and musicians.

Working hours vary between day and evening. Common working hours are 06:40-15:00, 07:00-15:30, 13:00-22:00, and 14:00-21:30.

As a part-time assistant at Furulund Elderly Home, you will be booked for shifts through the municipality's staffing unit. They will contact you when needs arise, and bookings are managed in the Heroma system.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is curious and open to developing in the role!

To thrive in the role of assistant, we see that you have a genuine interest in working with the elderly and contributing to a safe and meaningful everyday life for the residents. You need to be able to work at least four shifts per month and be flexible when needed. You also need to be able to handle documentation and communication via computer or mobile phone. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement as the job involves close contact with residents, relatives, and colleagues as well as documentation.

Experience in elderly care is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is your engagement, your ability to collaborate, and your willingness to learn.

Good to Know

Provided that you meet the mandatory requirements for the position, it is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at the B1 level according to the Council of Europe’s standard before the interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test.

The Health and Care Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and services to elderly people and to those in need of functional support. We also perform certain health and medical care. The vision includes that our efforts should be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

Furulund is a special accommodation with 94 apartments for people who, for various reasons, do not stay in their ordinary housing. We have two departments for people with some form of dementia and one somatic department. Our goal is for residents to be able to influence their everyday life so that their existence becomes the best and that the staff's approach is filled with respect, empathy, and attentiveness.
