The Health and Medical Care Administration (HSV) is divided into 10 health and medical care teams, one of which focuses exclusively on short-term care.
We are now looking for two nurses or specialist nurses who, together with competent and dedicated colleagues, want to create a good stay and provide good and safe care for patients at our largest short-term units Sörmarksgatan and Bodagatan.
If you are curious about what it's like to work with us, contact the recruiting manager Anna to ask questions or perhaps discuss a workplace visit.
Bodagatan's short-term unit receives patients with cognitive impairment, such as dementia. The administration has a high level of competence regarding cognitive impairment and dementia diseases, and structured and strategic work is being carried out. This gives us particularly good conditions to provide good and safe care for our patients and meet the target group in the best possible way.
Sörmarksgatan's short-term unit primarily receives patients with somatic diseases. This may involve patients who need shorter rehabilitation after a fracture, more specialized and medical-technical care for a slightly longer period, or palliative care in the final stages of life. We have a close and good collaboration with both health centers and specialist clinics within inpatient care such as PRIS and the Local Healthcare Team.
Nurses/Specialist Nurses for the Short-Term UnitJob ResponsibilitiesYou will care for patients with various nursing needs and diagnoses, assessing, implementing, evaluating, and documenting medical interventions. With us, you will develop and use your medical and nursing-specific knowledge, and you will be part of developing the future of short-term care. Working with advanced care and new medical technology gives you good opportunities to grow in your professional role and feel job satisfaction.
Collaboration with various external healthcare providers and different professions within the administration is also a central part of everyday life.
You plan and structure your work together with your colleagues; no day is the same, and thinking innovatively and reprioritizing is an exciting and varied part of the job.
Your tasks include mentoring and training nursing staff in health and medical care interventions. Within HSV, we have a delegation team, but ultimately it is you as the nurse who delegates the interventions.
We consider job satisfaction, well-being, team spirit, and a good work environment where you can have fun together at work to be very important and something we constantly work on. We know that working as a nurse is meaningful, varied, fun, developing, and rewarding, but it can also be challenging at times. For us, it is a given to help each other, and we learn from one another. Within HSV, there are good conditions for collaboration both within your own team and between teams. You have close access to both colleagues and management in your daily work, for example, when you need to check in on patient matters.
When you start your employment, you will receive an individually tailored introduction that gives you good conditions and a safe and stable start in your new assignment. We also offer contact with a mentor once you have completed your introduction, as we know that the opportunity to turn to an experienced and knowledgeable nurse for advice and support is often appreciated.
Additional InformationIn addition to meaningful work tasks, good collegial community, and good working conditions, as an employee of Borås Municipality, you will be offered several employee benefits; you can read more about them here.
We look forward to getting to know you and sharing your commitment, competence, and ideas to provide our patients with the best possible care, now and in the future.
If you want to become one of us in the health and medical care short-term team, you are warmly welcome to apply!
Interviews will be conducted during the application period.
QualificationsYou are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare, and we prefer that you have had some work experience in your professional role. If you have a specialist education in dementia, geriatrics, district nursing, psychiatry, or palliative care, a specialist position may be relevant.
You have a good approach, enjoy working with people, and have the desire to make a difference for our patients. We value that you are confident in your professional role and can work independently. Other important abilities include taking responsibility and being engaged in your work, as well as being professional in your assessments and decisions.
You are adaptable and can adjust your work methods based on changing conditions and new information, and you have a very good ability to overview, organize, prioritize, and follow up on your work even in pressured situations.
As a nurse, you lead others; therefore, you need to be communicative and have the ability to explain, guide, educate, and inform in a pedagogical manner.
You see it as a given to collaborate, have a collegial approach, and care about creating and maintaining good relationships with everyone you meet in your role as a nurse in short-term care.
You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and you have good experience with IT-based journal systems.
