Do you want to work with palliative care at home? Do you want to make a difference for our patients and their relatives together with us? Do you want to work from a holistic perspective and in a team around the patients? We are looking for someone interested in a temporary position and passionate about developing palliative care in the City of Gothenburg.

We in KPV (Competence Team Palliative Care) are a team within the municipal health and medical care, consisting not only of nurses but also occupational therapists and a physiotherapist. We work based on the palliative approach, which is built on the four cornerstones of communication and relationship, teamwork, symptom relief, and relatives. We work closely together in the team. Palliative care is about creating the highest possible quality of life during the time that remains for our patients.

With us, you will work as a nurse with assessments and treatment of patients in their homes. We plan the work based on the individual's conditions and needs. The patients can be of varying ages but are mostly in the final stages of life. Common to all our patients is that they need the expertise that a palliative-oriented team can provide. In addition to contributing to good care for our patients, part of your work will be to support relatives.

The work is currently scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. We operate from shared premises at Bror Nilssons Gata 5 in Lindholmen.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We would like you to have experience working as a nurse, in home healthcare, and in palliative care. Since we work all over Hisingen, a B driver's license and good driving experience are required.

In this position, you will work independently to a large extent, which means you need to be confident in meeting patients and making assessments on your own, but there are always colleagues who can support you in your work. Therefore, we see it as important that you can collaborate with your colleagues to provide our patients with the best possible care. As you will encounter seriously ill patients and their relatives, it requires you to be empathetic and attentive. You listen and create understanding for the people you meet in your professional role to meet their needs. For us, it is also important that you are a responsible employee who understands the importance of your work and how it affects others, as well as being considerate of your colleagues. You are structured in your work approach and use your time effectively.
