Welcome to us

Sköndal School is an F-6 school with about 500 students.

The school has an integrated after-school program for students in grades F-3 and an open after-school activity called club for grades 4-6. At Sköndal School, about 80 staff members work. The school's management team consists of a principal, two assistant principals, and an administrative manager. Supporting the staff and management team are also a school secretary, IT coordinator, and a janitor. The service team also includes kitchen staff.

The staff is organized into work teams where we together take responsibility for the students' knowledge acquisition and social development based on an inclusive and salutogenic approach. We have a well-developed collaboration between preschool class, after-school care/club, and school. The school has a special local teaching group (LSU) and a regional special teaching group (RSU). The school works with an attractive learning environment and the opportunity to use several learning styles. Your role

You will work in and be responsible for a special teaching group in grades 1-6. The number of students and which grades they belong to is flexible and will vary based on the needs of our students. The group includes students who are in great need of special support. Your mission includes supporting the students throughout the school day together with another teacher and two after-school staff. Close collaboration with guardians, the student health team, and others is also required. The scheduling of working hours may vary depending on the students' needs.

Your qualifications and experience

For this position, you must have:

  • teaching certification with authorization to teach in grades 1-6 in mathematics and science.
  • knowledge and experience with children with NPF
  • very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

  • special education teacher training
  • experience in leading and motivating students and creating a safe and educational classroom situation.

As a person, you are good at creating, maintaining, and developing professional relationships and have good leadership skills. Furthermore, you have a good pedagogical ability and understanding of people's different conditions for acquiring knowledge. You also take initiative and start activities to achieve results. You have good collaboration skills and can create good relationships as the work has many contact points with students, staff, and guardians. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
