About Us

The Operations Department at Blekingesjukhuset (BLS) in Karlshamn consists of five operating rooms for elective surgery.

Orthopedics constitutes the majority of the operations, and in addition, surgeries are performed in surgery, urology, plastic surgery, gynecology, and dentistry. BLS Karlshamn is also tasked with maintaining 24/7 staffing at the hospital with anesthetic nurses to handle emergency alarms. It is for this mission that we are now seeking a new colleague!

The Job

The role involves assisting in the alarm function at the hospital. This includes cardiac arrest alarms, alarms for threatened airways, or other acutely ill patients. Additionally, it includes accompanying the ambulance on alarms outside the hospital and during secondary transport between hospitals in the region where anesthetic monitoring is required. The position also includes daytime shifts in the elective operations.

About You

We are looking for a qualified anesthetic nurse who can work independently and has good problem-solving skills. Experience in pre-hospital work or in an emergency care unit is advantageous. We seek someone who enjoys working variably with emergency assignments within the hospital, during secondary transports with the ambulance, and assisting in the elective operations. We want someone who wants to be part of our team and help develop and drive the operations forward. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
