About Us

The Rehab Clinic is part of close care and operates at both locations of Blekingesjukhuset.

The clinic is responsible for the hospitals' rehabilitation in both inpatient and specialized outpatient care. The work is carried out in both interdisciplinary and interprofessional teams.

The Occupational Therapy Department at Blekingesjukhuset in Karlskrona meets the need for occupational therapists in the hospital's departments, such as pediatrics, stroke, geriatrics, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, thoracic surgery, and infection. In addition, we provide specialized outpatient care in areas such as pain, neuro, cancer, rheumatology, pediatrics, and hand rehabilitation. Specialized rehabilitation at home (Sprih) is also a work area for us, where intensive rehabilitation is performed at home after discharge from the hospital.

At Occupational Therapy, 16 employees work, consisting of occupational therapists and rehabilitation assistants. The workgroup has a great atmosphere, cares for each other, and continuously exchanges knowledge through daily contact and internal training.

The Job

At Occupational Therapy in Karlskrona, we have a broad operation with great opportunities. The current position involves work primarily in inpatient care, with the possibility of combining with outpatient care in the future. The tasks include assessment of activity ability and cognition, testing and prescribing aids, as well as treatment and training. In outpatient care, we also work partially with group activities.

At Occupational Therapy, there is a wide range of specialized work areas and the opportunity to try several different ones to find what interests you. We are curious about which areas interest you and would love to discuss this further in a potential interview.

Working in a team is an important part of our daily life, in both inpatient and outpatient care. The work is often carried out in collaboration with other professional groups, especially together with physiotherapists.

About You

You are a licensed occupational therapist. To thrive with us, it is important that you are independent, engaged, and positive towards development. Great consideration is also given to good collaboration skills and personal suitability.
