About the job
In the field of international personal taxation, you will work with case handling and investigation of matters that vary in scope and complexity. The area primarily covers income from employment and capital income. As a case officer, you are responsible for clarifying how the client's tax situation should be handled, both materially and practically, according to both domestic law and tax treaties, as well as regarding pension-qualifying income. In your work, you analyze and assess various types of documentation, often foreign documents. With the support of laws and regulations, you make an assessment of the documentation and make decisions. During certain periods, tax information may be part of your duties. This means that you will answer questions about taxes from individuals over the phone and provide guidance on how they can best use our e-services.
You will work in a team-based manner, which means you will work closely with your colleagues and support each other to accomplish the team's tasks. You plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. The work is qualified, and you will learn and gain new knowledge both broadly and deeply. The work involves a lot of customer contacts, and an important part of the assignment is to provide the customer with good conditions to do the right thing in the future. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.
You belong to the Personal Taxation Unit 1 in the Personal Taxation Department. Your place of work is Sundsvall.
About you

In this job, you should:

You should also have:
- a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics or law
- current and relevant work experience in case handling tasks within public administration, agencies, insurance companies, or banks.
It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in international tax law. It is also desirable that you have approved university credits in tax law.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
