Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you primarily work in a reception for society's most vulnerable and support them based on their needs. The work may include vaccinations, counseling, testing, and contact with social workers, midwives, or other care providers to motivate reduced substance use and facilitate continued healthcare contact. You participate in both primary and secondary preventive measures, such as infection prevention counseling, treatment of infections, and needle exchange. You work in a team with various professional categories and help patients access other health care, dental care, social services, and civil society. The role also involves collaboration with external actors. Additionally, we operate a service in Köping one day a week.

About the Workplace

The Low-Threshold Reception is part of Region Västmanland within Close Care and is operated by adult psychiatry. It offers accessible basic health care for the homeless, marginalized individuals, and needle exchange services for those who inject drugs. The operation is characterized by accessibility, a non-judgmental approach, and a supportive working method. The target group is adults aged 18 and over who are homeless, vulnerable, or have harmful use and dependency. In connection with visits, basic medical supplies, laboratory services, and some medications are provided based on medical needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. Experience with the target group and knowledge of Cosmic is an advantage. Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required. It is also an advantage if you have a B driver's license.

We seek a confident and empathetic nurse with a genuine interest in people. You can remain calm and prioritize even in stressful situations, are attentive, and collaborate well with various stakeholders. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is eager to engage in change and development work. We place great importance on personal qualities and suitability.

Employment Conditions

Temporary position for 1 year, full-time, daytime Monday to Friday. Start date according to agreement.
