Job Responsibilities

At the health center, you will meet patients of all ages and with various needs as a district nurse or a registered nurse with experience in primary care. No day is the same, and the work involves a variety of tasks throughout the day and week.

You will have your own planned reception, emergency reception, and drop-in reception where you meet patients with acute symptoms, provide telephone advice, health talks, and digital visits via 1177 Direct.

The position also offers opportunities for specialist assignments in areas such as memory teams, asthma/COPD, diabetes, heart failure, discharge coordination, and more.

In the fall of 2023, we opened our drop-in reception where nurses work in teams alongside other nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. This is one of several improvement initiatives that are an important part of our daily work and that increase accessibility for our patients.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-run health centers in Västmanland and the health centers' emergency receptions in Västmanland are operated as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. We share a common name, Närvården Västmanland, and we work together to provide our patients with the best primary care in the county. Närvården Sala Väsby is responsible for just over 13,000 listed patients. Our unit includes consultations with doctors, district nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, a psychosocial team with social workers, as well as maternal and child health care. The operation also includes a branch clinic in Västerfärnebo.

Since 2021, we have offered patients the ability to chat with us via a digital platform, 1177 Direct, to increase our accessibility and introduce new and exciting working methods.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed nurse and preferably have further education as a district nurse or are a registered nurse with experience in primary care and work in health centers. Specialist competence in diabetes is an advantage for the position.

• You preferably have experience with the Cosmic journal system and you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• You have the knowledge and ability to work independently and seek help from colleagues for questions and support.
• You are resilient to stress and used to prioritizing tasks.
• You are confident and stable in your professional role.
• You have the will and capacity to help others and have the ability to create good meetings.
• You are open to change and used to adapting to new shifts in work pace and tasks.
• You come with ideas and suggestions that can contribute to the development of the operation.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.
