Licensed Dietitian Wanted at the Rehabilitation Unit

Job Responsibilities

The dietitian at the Rehabilitation Unit will serve the different departments and outpatient clinics of the medical clinic in Köping. To some extent, work may also take place at the hospital in Fagersta.

As a dietitian, you will work on everything from assessing, diagnosing, and treating dietary and nutritional problems to prescribing dietary supplements and enteral nutrition. The tasks are varied and involve work in both inpatient and outpatient care. Depending on your background and experience, some of the work may be performed remotely.

About the Workplace

Currently, there are 2 dietitians working at the Rehabilitation Unit. We also have occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, nursing assistants, and nurses. We often work in teams. You will be welcomed into a positive environment characterized by openness and participation. We operate in all departments of the hospital and also work in outpatient care. We offer inpatient rehabilitation for stroke and geriatrics and conduct individual and group therapy in various areas.

The clinic has a primary care emergency unit and four wards. Here you will find an emergency care unit, dialysis clinic, medical outpatient clinic with day medicine, advanced home care, and the rehabilitation unit.

Västmanlands Hospital Köping is highly skilled in stroke care and ranks at the top in national comparisons. Köping Hospital has received awards from Riksstroke multiple times as the stroke unit of the year and for excellent stroke care.

The hospital is very close to the train station, just a three-minute walk away. The commuting options to Köping are good. Train from Örebro to Köping takes 33 minutes, from Västerås to Köping 17 minutes, and from Eskilstuna to Köping 54 minutes.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed dietitian, preferably with previous experience in inpatient/outpatient care, but this is not a requirement. If you have experience working with the Cosmic journal system, we consider it an asset. A valid driver's license (B) is desirable but not mandatory.

It is important that you can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You work independently and adapt easily to new circumstances. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and bring new ideas to work-related issues. You find it easy to collaborate with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time or part-time. Start date by agreement.
