Vänge School

Vänge School is a primary school for grades F-6, located in Vänge, ten kilometers west of Uppsala. The school has over 310 students and about 40 staff members. Vänge School has good teaching facilities as well as a sports hall and library on the school premises. The teaching is characterized by knowledgeable and engaged teachers who, together with other staff, work to ensure that all students succeed.

Job Description

As a teacher in year 5, you will teach the subjects Swedish/Swedish as a second language, English, SO, and Art. You will have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your competence, knowledge, and engagement to help the school achieve its goals with the student at the center. You will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the educational work according to the curriculum and other governing documents.

You will be the main responsible for teaching your subjects in two classes in year 5. You will work closely with your colleague in the parallel class as well as with the team for grades 4-6. We strive for collegial learning where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues, develop the activities. Together, you will work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish teaching license with authorization to teach Swedish, Swedish as a second language, English, SO, and Art in grades 4-6. To succeed in this role, you need to have experience teaching at the middle school level. The job requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

We would like you to have experience managing a class, including parent-teacher conferences and communication with guardians. It is an advantage if you have experience adapting teaching from an NPF perspective. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 is considered a merit.

As a person, you are pedagogical and have an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge. You are calm and composed in various situations and can focus on the right things. Furthermore, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
