Laban School's adapted primary and secondary school is seeking an experienced, committed, and competent special educator with a focus on IF, who is fundamentally a middle school teacher with experience working in adapted primary and/or secondary education.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the entire teaching process for students studying subjects at the middle school level as well as the Gymnasium's individual program. You will have a team of skilled student assistants and experienced teachers to support you. Together with your colleagues and student health services, you will help develop our operations.

You understand the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating while also following the curriculum and its intentions for good teaching. You plan, organize, implement, and evaluate the teaching both individually and together with your colleagues. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills, with a desire for students to reach their full potential.

In the classroom with the students, you are a clear leader who has the ability to create a learning environment characterized by safety, joy, and knowledge. This is achieved through good didactic skills, a clear structure, and varied teaching that is adapted to the individual's conditions.

You see documentation and assessment as a natural part of teaching and thus your work. You have a good ability to analyze and reflect on your teaching in order to constantly develop and improve it.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

- is fundamentally a licensed primary school teacher/secondary school teacher.

- has experience teaching in adapted primary school and has good knowledge of governing documents.

- uses digital tools in teaching as well as employs clarifying pedagogy and has knowledge of positive behavior support.

- has good collaboration skills and can create good relationships as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians.

- expresses themselves well in both spoken and written language, as the role includes written documentation and oral communication.

Licensure as a teacher and Special Education training with a focus on IF is a requirement.
