International English School in Johanneberg is now looking for a special educator starting January 2026. International English School in Kungsbacka is a bilingual school for students in grades 6-9. Our school offers a safe and organized environment, and we are committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

We are looking for a special educator with a strong commitment to students' learning, health, and development. The role includes working towards a well-functioning student health service to support students' development towards educational goals.

The main tasks include:

• Mapping students' and groups' needs
• Working directly with students in smaller groups
• Planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions
• Responsible for the school's establishment and follow-up of pedagogical investigations, action programs with relevant stakeholders, applications for additional funding, and pedagogical assessments for applications for other school forms.
• Making interventions and development work accessible and following up at the school, group, and individual levels for relevant students.
• Coordinating the work with transitions for students starting and leaving the school
• Participating in the school's systematic quality work.
• Documenting in Prorenata.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and further education as a special educator. You have previous experience working with children and adolescents. Previous experience as a teacher and special educator in primary school is an advantage. Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing is a requirement for the position.

The work requires that you are secure in your professional role, can work independently, are proactive, and have a good ability to see opportunities in different situations. As a person, you have a good approach and a strong ability to plan and prioritize your work. You have good collaboration skills and an interest in working together in teams with different professional categories. Your approach is relational and focused on working health-promoting and preventive.

You are flexible, attentive, and have an easy time building trust and good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Who are you?

• You are a qualified special educator with experience working with grades 4-9
• It is advantageous if you have a primary school teacher education and are familiar with the Swedish National Agency for Education's governing documents
• You have knowledge of and share the values and ethos of the International English School
